Kennesaw Georgia Museums

This fascinating museum, located within Kennesaw State University, offers the opportunity to see inspiring exhibitions of art, history, architecture and architecture from around the world. Housed in a historic building on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology (GAIT), this welcoming museum of arts has been designed to enter the hearts of art thinkers who want to observe and exchange the history and art of the railroad and its impact on society. While railway fans of all ages practice the oldest form of art and design, sparks fly in the air.

Two of my favorite museums on campus are the Museum of History and Holocaust Education. This Kenneaw museum, also located within Kennesaw State University, is abbreviated by the Georgia Institute of Technology (GAIT) and Georgia Southern University (GSU).

The Marietta Historical Museum also offers a full programme, events and special exhibitions throughout the year. The museum was founded in 1926 and currently has six permanent exhibitions, including a collection of more than 1,000 works of art from around the world. The Zuckerman Museum of Art focuses on art and education and also offers a variety of exhibitions and educational programs for students, faculty and staff.

The Zuckerman Museum of Art, one of Kennesaw's most popular museums, also displays artworks created by alumni, students and faculty at the university. The museum's galleries explore the sprawling history of Marietta and Cobb County and are located on the second floor of a two-story building on the corner of North Park Drive and East Main Street. This Kenneaw museum houses a collection of contemporary art produced by nationally renowned and local artists.

See replicas of Confederate and Union uniforms, as well as replicas of Confederate, Union and Civil War uniforms. The museum brings together the best of both worlds: the art, history and history of Kennesaw State University and its graduates.
